And just like that, we’ve just passed the 5-month mark here at Bound, and personally, I’ve also just passed the 6-month mark of becoming a first-time father. As I put pen to paper, the first thing that comes to mind is wanting to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for coming on the journey with us and becoming part of a worldwide community that connects on sharing ideas to inspire self-betterment. Your support and kindness as we learn and grow means the world to this tight-knit family.
As I look back in reflection of what a journey it’s been, starting a purpose-driven brand, becoming a father and starting a family with my best friend. I really don’t know how we’ve survived the last 6 months, but it’s a reminder to me that gratitude for where we are and what we have right now is the precursor to real abundance. The last 6 months has shown me that things don’t always go to plan, you’ll learn difficult lessons in places least expected. To cherish small wins, even when they feel insignificant at times. No matter how slow progress may feel in the moment, stay obsessively grateful for the steps you’re able to take and the people who help create a support structure that allows for obstacles to be absorbed and reshaped into learnings and new solutions. Because you’ll only ever be in this time in your life once, and then it’s gone forever. The truth is that time will just keep ticking and life will just keep moving.
So don’t forget to slow down this holiday and take it all in ... maybe take a moment to ask yourself when’s the last time you’ve really reflected on how far you’ve come?
Stay safe this summer, but more importantly stay obsessively grateful.
